Over Natalia Kills
It's probably no huge surprise that British dance-pop artist Natalia Kills first earned the attention of audiences in Europe (and abroad) for the dark and sometimes violently symbolic music videos that accompanied her bold, opinionated songs. A former child television and movie actor who also has a background in filmmaking and classical theatre, the artist born Natalia Keery-Fisher uses her theatrical and cinematic training to heighten the visceral experience of her provocative, yet incredibly danceable pop. Abandoning a rather successful acting career around age 15, she began to focus all her creative energies on music, first releasing tracks under the name Verbalicious, then as Natalia Kills and eventually for Interscope, after will.i.am discovered and signed her. Guest shots on LMFAO and Far*East Movement tracks, as well as high-profile tours supporting Robyn, Kelis, Bruno Mars and Ke$ha helped increase the buzz around her debut album, Perfectionist, which dropped in 2011.
