Over Oh Land
Oh Land is the alias of Nanna Oland Fabricius, a singer and producer of beguiling electronic pop. Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, she displays a pensive strain similar to that of her compatriots The Knife, but the former ballerina's muscular sense of presence has as much to do with the alt divas of neighboring Sweden, like Robyn, Annie and Lykke Li. Bjork hangs over it all like a fairy godmother, influencing both Fabricius' chirpy vocal style and her expansive electronic productions. Oh Land released her debut album in 2008, but it was her 2011 self-titled follow-up that kick-started her career, thanks to coproduction from Pharrell and the catchy single "Sun of a Gun."
