Sugar (Remastered) van Stanley Turrentine

Speel af op Napster
One of the key jazz albums of the 1970s, Sugar was a surprise bestseller, showcasing a mainstream modern bop sound that avoided overt funk or rock fusion while still appealing to the younger generation. Saxophonist Stanley Turrentine (he of the creamy tenor tone) is joined by a startling roster of younger jazz players, including CTI Records stalwarts George Benson (guitar), Ron Carter (bass) and Freddie Hubbard (trumpet). Speaking of CTI, the savvy label even turned the album sleeve, a favorite of legions of foot fetishists and bon vivants, into a popular wall poster!
